Tell us about the item first
Send dimensions, an approximate weight if known and clear photographs when the team requests them. Explain any fragile parts, existing damage, unusual handling requirements or manufacturer instructions. This allows us to assess whether the move is within our capability and what arrangements are needed.

The route matters as much as the object
Measure doorways, stair turns and lifts, and tell us about steps, uneven surfaces and restricted vehicle access. Do not attempt to move a heavy item to the doorstep yourself to make things easier. We will discuss a safe approach, any dismantling that may be possible and work that requires specialist equipment or another provider.
Agree protection and cover
Let us know about items of particular value before the quote is finalised. Ask for the relevant cover terms, limits and exclusions and check whether an individual item needs a separate arrangement. Confirm the agreed preparation and handling plan before the move; the word specialist is not a substitute for assessing the actual object.
